Ruben Studdard Takes Legal Action Against Promoter  1/31/08

Former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard is suing a concert promoter for breach of contract.

In legal papers filed in New York Supreme Court, Studdard is seeking $45,000 in damages from Dallas, Texas-based firm Peaches Inc., reports TMZ.

The lawsuit comes just one month after Studdard was dropped by his label, J Records, after failing to match the success of his 2003 debut album, Soulful.
