Britney Spears Buys New Home 1/31/08

Troubled superstar Britney Spears has snapped up a new home - a $6 million California mansion.

The singer, currently ensconced in a public custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two sons, has found time to view and lay down the money for the Spanish-style seafront house in Hermosa Beach, California.

A real estate source tells the National Enquirer, "Britney's new pad is luxurious and she got it for about $2.5 million less that its asking price.
