Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Keep Apart at UK Live 8 Concerts  7/2/05

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt both introduced acts at the Live 8 extravaganza yesterday (02JUL05) - but at different concerts.

Jolie and her Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Pitt have spent the past couple of months denying reports they are a real-life couple.

Despite both being in the UK, the pair kept apart from one another. Jolie graced the stage of the Eden Project in Cornwall, southwest England - where a predominantly African line-up performed - while Pitt introduced Annie Lennox in London.

United Nations goodwill ambassador Jolie welcomed African act Coco Mbassi, performing as a duo instead of their usual seven-piece line-up.

Meanwhile, Pitt told the 150,000-strong crowd in the British capital's Hyde Park to not stand for poverty: "Let us be outraged. Let us be bold. We the fortunate. Let's remind each other, this is what we stand for. This is who we are."
