Justin Timberlake and Sean 'P Diddy' Combs Never Booked For Live 8  7/6/05

Justin Timberlake and Sean 'P Diddy' Combs were never booked to appear at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia on Saturday (02JUL05) - despite claims they pulled out at the last minute. 

The superstar pair were used on promotional material for the Pennsylvania gig - but they never promised to perform. 

Timberlake's spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, "His name was being bandied about, but he never agreed to anything. He was in the One ad campaign (to fight African poverty), and that was it." 

A source close to Combs adds, "Puffy expressed interest in the event, but they never got back to him about it."
