John Singleton Thrilled by Beyonce's Lap Dance  7/13/05

Film-maker John Singleton can't thank Beyonce Knowles enough for her sexy lap dance at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards earlier this month (JUL05) because it was great promotion for his new film.

Knowles pulled Terrence Howard, the star of director/producer Singleton's new movie Hustle & Flow, out of the audience at the Kodak Theatre prize giving in Hollywood and performed a sexy dance for the actor as he sat onstage stunned.

The act hit headlines all over the world and thrilled Singleton who was watching the awards at home.

He says, "It wasn't planned and it was the coolest thing you can get. All of a sudden Terrence was everywhere and that was great publicity for us. You can't buy that kind of thing.

"I'm obviously very proud of this film but I'm really surprised with the buzz behind this film - and now it has gone into overdrive."
