Johnny Depp Develops Deep Fear of Germs  7/16/05

Johnny Depp has become a self-confessed "germophobe" since becoming a father.

The Hollywood actor admits that since he and partner Vanessa Paradis became parents of LILY-ROSE, six, and JACK, three, he's become more concerned than usual about germs.

He says, "I think after you have kids you become (a germophobe). After you change a couple of diapers you don't wanna make a tuna sandwich, or something like that."

Depp's concerns about germs have also led to a self-imposed ban on eating from peanut bowls at parties.

He explains, "There was a study done - this will change your life - where they tested an ordinary bowl of peanuts at a bar. Twenty-seven different kinds of urine (were found)."
