Nicole Kidman Bewitched By Ephron's Food 7/18/05

Nicole Kidman has allayed concerns about her dramatic weight loss, insisting she agreed to star in new movie Bewitched because director Nora Ephron provides the best catering in Hollywood. 

The Oscar-winning actress was thrilled when she discovered Ephron, an ex-food critic, flew delicacies in from abroad and held dinner parties for cast and crew. 

And Kidman insists that despite her petite frame, she adores food and could not turn down the opportunity of enjoying the delicious spreads on the set of Ephron's big screen adaptation of the classic 1960s sitcom. 

She explains, "When you make one of her films they say she has the best catering in the business. 

"To bring it to a broader level, Nora is incredibly witty and powerful as a woman, yet she's also extremely nurturing. She invites you over on a Sunday night and does all the cooking with 30 people over. 

"She loves to direct the film during the week and then entertain on the weekends. I think that's something that people don't realize about her - there's such softness to her."
