Elizabeth Hurley: 'Hugh Grant Qualities Attracted Me To Nayar' 7/18/05

Actress Elizabeth Hurley was first attracted to her fiance Arun Nayar because he reminded her of her ex-boyfriend, actor Hugh Grant. 

The Austin Powers beauty spent 13 years with Notting Hill star Grant, before the couple split amicably in 2000. They remain good friends. 

And Hurley admits she was attracted to Indian tycoon Nayar because he shared many of Grant's qualities and was the first man she met following her pregnancy with son Damian, now three.

She says, "He was the first man I really spoke to properly after being pregnant. I'd been surrounded by close friends and family and he was the first man I saw. 

"We got on incredibly well immediately. In many ways, he's not dissimilar to Hugh. He reminded me of him a lot. They're both incredibly kind, gentle, loyal souls, good people. I'm very attracted to that."
