Urges Colin Farrell to Give Him Sex Tape Rights
7/24/05
The sex tape broker who is keen to sell footage of Colin Farrell making
love to Playboy model Nicol Narin insists the Irish actor should be
thrilled about the controversy.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted Farrell a restraining order
against his former lover and sex tape businessman David Hans Schmidt
earlier this week (19JUL05), preventing them from selling, showing or
distributing it.
But Schmidt, who currently has the master copy of the sex tape,
suggests Farrell signs a deal with him and allows him to release the
15-minute tape - before more unscrupulous businessmen get hold of a
reported copy of the tape and puts images on the Internet.
Schmidt appeared on US talk show The Big Idea on Thursday night
(21JUL05) to urge Farrell to drop his restraining order. He said, "Alexander
was such a flop; this guy needs a little bit of publicity. He's got two
films coming out this Fall. I think it's a shot in the arm for him because
it's publicity and it's gonna drive box office sales.
"Of all people, with their demeanor and idiosyncrasies, to come
out and to say, `I don't want this sex tape out when he's already done
full-frontal nudity in some of his films, he's known to be pugnacious and
a womanizer and aloof.
"It is what it is and I think that every teenage girl and every
good-standing gay man in America and worldwide is gonna want to see this
tape.
"We have already told Marty Singer (Farrell's lawyer) that,
according to our information, there's a copy of the tape missing and it's
being shopped right now." |
