Nick Lachey: "It's Time to Move On"  7/4/06

Newly single Nick Lachey insists it's time to for him to move on now he is officially divorced from Jessica Simpson.

The couple's divorce was finalised on Friday (30JUN06), after three years of marriage.

Lachey appeared on the US Today TV show this morning (03JULY06), and performed a live concert in Manhattan, New York City's Rockefeller Plaza.

He was promoting his new album What's Left of Me and some female fans in the audience held up signs reading, "Nick, we want what's left of you!"

The 32-year-old told interviewer Lester Holt, "I'm doing well. It's a process we all have to go though. This week was the final step in that process."

When Holt asked what it was like to put such a public relationship behind him, Lachey replied, "It's a huge part of my life. But for me personally and professionally, it's time to move on."
