Paris Hilton insists she is not just a hotel heiress, she is a hard-nosed businesswoman developing her own successful empire of fashion items.

The blonde socialite, who is also working on a pop career, is building up a trendy range of purses, sunglasses and lingerie - and she is "right at the centre" of marketing her products.

She says, "I love wearing my own products, I'm right at the centre of it.

Like calling Tokyo, Germany and everyone and telling the companies what I want.

"Nothing with my name on it gets past without me knowing."
