Colin Farrell Buys a Home So Son Can Have His Own Bedroom  7/18/06

Irish movie star Colin Farrell is struggling to make his new Hollywood spread a home because he hasn't found the time to decorate.

The actor spent $4.3 million on a Hollywood Hills home earlier this summer (06), so his young son would have a bedroom to call his own.

But the Alexander star admits he isn't cut out to be a homemaker.

He says, "I've bought a house; all I have is two lawn chairs and a f**king sleeping bag in it so far. I bought the house so my son can have a bedroom, so he doesn't have to stay in hotels with me."

Farrell admits it will be nice to have a place to call home when his new place is complete: "I've been in hotel rooms for six years... I haven't been home to Ireland for two years and that's way too long. I've gotta get home soon."
