Rapper Nelly has laughed off rumors he's proposed to long-term girlfriend Ashanti, insisting the reports are incredibly far-fetched.

The Hot In Herre hit maker - born Cornell Haynes Jr. - has been dating R&B singer Ashanti since November 2003, but the hip-hop star denies they are set to walk down the aisle anytime soon.

When asked if the couple is planning to get married, Nelly exclaimed, "Say what?! Wow, you just jumped out of the blue with that one. Yeah, you reaching."
