Elisha Cuthbert Wants to be in Superhero Movie  7/15/07

Actress Elisha Cuthbert is desperate to star in a big screen superhero film - despite her consistent lack of success to date.

The 24 star has auditioned to play Mary Jane in Spider-Man, Lois Lane in Superman and Susan Storm in Fantastic Four, but missed out every time.

Despite the rejection, the ambitious actress is setting her sights even higher.

She says, "I wanna be in a superhero movie - I think I'm tough enough to do it! If I said I didn't want those roles I'd be lying, but if I let every missed role bother me I'd be in an insane asylum!

"I'm so competitive in that respect. But hopefully something will come along that has more aggression, more edge, than the typical comic-book damsel in distress.
