FOX FILLS IN THE BLANKS WITH “DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!”
HIT GAME SHOW RENEWED FOR 13 ADDITIONAL EPISODES
Hitting a high note with the new game show DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!,
FOX is not stopping the music and is picking up the show for 13 additional
episodes. The series, hosted by Wayne Brady, ranks No. 1 in both its
Wednesday and Thursday time periods across all key demos, including Adults
18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54, Women 18-49/18-34/25-54, Men 18-49/18-34 and
Teens. So crank up the volume and sing along with all-new episodes of DON’T
FORGET THE LYRICS! Wednesdays (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursdays
(8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
On DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!, contestants choose songs from different
genres, decades and musical artists. Then they take center stage to sing
alongside the studio band as the lyrics are projected on screen – but
suddenly the music stops and the words disappear. Will the contestants
belt out the correct missing lyric, or freeze under pressure? After each
correct response, contestants must decide to “Stay & Play” or “Take
the Money & Run.” If they sing nine songs correctly, they are
presented with a No. 1 hit and one final missing lyric for the top prize
of $1 million. It’s that simple: 10 songs, 10 missing lyrics, 1 million
dollars.
DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS! is produced by RDF USA and Brad Lachman
Productions. Lachman, Jeff Apploff, Chris Coelen and Greg Goldman serve as
executive producers and Brian Veskosky serves as co-executive producer.
The show was created by Apploff.
