Cinderella Man Deters Russell Crowe From Using Violence  6/1/05

Hollywood heart-throb Russell Crowe has vowed never to fight again after the tiring experience of filming of new boxing movie Cinderella Man.

The Oscar - winning Gladiator star - who's plays depression-era fighter and folk hero Jim Braddock in the period drama - had to withstand getting punched for three months during the filming.

The 41-year-old actor is now convinced his fighting days are well and truly over.

He says, "I don't want to get myself into a violent situation ever again.  I've seen it's effect. I felt it's effect. "What I felt from Cinderella Man is realizing that getting punched in the head is stupid.

"It's not something I ever want to do again."
