BRAD PITT: THE DIANE SAWYER INTERVIEW
The Special Edition of "Primetime Live" Airs Tuesday, June 7
at 10:00 p.m.. ET on ABC
In a special hour-long "Primetime Live" report, Diane Sawyer
talks with Brad Pitt in his first television interview this year. Sawyer
also travels to Africa and reports on Pitt's recent tour, where he
witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of AIDS and poverty on the
continent. He tells Sawyer that he is frustrated by the fact that his
personal life has been the subject of a media frenzy while this
humanitarian crisis has received relatively little media coverage. "I
can't get out of the press. These people can't get in the press. So let's
redirect the attention a little bit," says Pitt. "It drives me
mental seeing what I've seen and knowing that it doesn't show up in our
news every day." This special edition of "Primetime Live"
airs TUESDAY, JUNE 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Despite the turbulence of the past year, Pitt insists it has been a
good one for him. "New chapter?" asks Sawyer. "New
chapter," says Pitt. "Truly a really interesting time -- it's a
shakeup year... a blossoming year... a year of re-direction, and I find it
very, very interesting."
DIANE SAWYER, CHRIS CUOMO, CYNTHIA McFADDEN and JOHN QUIQONES are the
anchors of "Primetime Live." DAVID SLOAN is the executive
producer. |
