Kevin Federline Delayed Telling Britney Spears He Loved Her  6/9/05

Kevin Federline refused to tell his wife Britney Spears he loved her until he was certain the feeling was mutual.

The dancer, who wed Spears in September (04) after a whirlwind romance, claims he fell for the TOXIC singer soon after they embarked on their romance.

But he kept his deep feelings a secret - even while she expressed her heartfelt feelings for him.

He reveals on the new reality show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic, "I wasn't going to tell her I loved her until I knew for sure that she really felt that way about me. So, I kept my mouth shut. Maybe not my emotions, but my mouth was shut. After that, we both kinda opened up to each other... She's fun. She's caring, loving, very intimate. That's what I was looking for."

Spears adds, "I think that's what love does. You can't put up any more walls and all that stuff. You just kinda let go and you're like, 'Okay, here I am.

This is me.'

"It's a scary thing, love, you have to really be free and open and all those things, which is hard sometimes for some people.

"You know what I like about our relationship? I think it's a good balance.

It's like we're friends and we have good sex - I think we do - and I think that we're cute. We're cool. We're not like too serious. We're not too anything.

We're fun."
