Elizabeth Hurley Forgiven By Her Fiancées Ex  6/10/05

British actress Elizabeth Hurley has received the ultimate gift for her 40th birthday today (10JUN05) - a pardon from her fiancé Arun Nayar's estranged wife Valentina Pedroni for stealing her husband.

Pedroni briefly separated from the Indian business tycoon in 2002, but was left heartbroken just 10 days later to discover Nayar had left her for the Austin Powers star.

But Hurley and Nayar's frequent media coverage has finally numbed Pedroni to the pain of seeing them together, and she's ready to forgive her former friend's betrayal.

She says, "Now I have found my balance. I had lost it. But I've got used to it now. I open the papers now and when I see him with her I don't get upset any more.

"But the first time, I was so offended. We had only been apart 10 days and there they were all over the newspapers. We had only separated to see if we could resolve our differences.

"Instead, it all happened without any respect or delicacy. He wasn't a trophy to be put on display, he was my husband. But Hurley's OK, I'm over it now."

Hurley plans to marry the textile millionaire in a traditional wedding in India later this year (05).
