Britney Spears "My New Song is a Prophecy"  6/16/05

Pop beauty Britney Spears has declared her new maternal song Someday (I Will Understand) "a prophecy" - because she wrote it two weeks before she discovered she was pregnant.

Spears sings about having a baby on the track, which has now taken on extra-special meaning since she discovered that she and husband Kevin Federline will welcome their first child together into the world in the autumn (05).

She says, "I wrote this song at my piano, at my house. I wrote it two weeks before I found out that I was pregnant, so it was really kind of weird, because the song's about having a baby... and it's something that I'd been dreaming about for a while. It's kind of like a prophecy.

"Everyone in general should voice their wishes more, because I think the more you throw it out to the universe, if you're in the right space and place in your life, it's weird how the universe gives it back to you."

Federline, who has two children of his own from a relationship with actress Shar Jackson, adds, "When I first heard it my emotions were crazy. I didn't know whether it was talking about a baby or anything like that. And then after I found out that she was pregnant, (I was in) tears... I hope one day our baby hears the song and loves it."
