Movie beauty Elizabeth Hurley has revealed the secret to her incredible looks - she sleeps with the windows open.

As a child, the Austin Powers actress was advised by her grandmother never to go to bed without opening the windows, to avoid waking up looking the worse for wear.

And superstitious Hurley has heeded her advice ever since - with the odd exception.

She explains, "My grandmother was obsessed with fresh air and told us that if we slept with the windows shut we'd look 'German'.

"I've always obeyed her and if someone shuts the window in the night I'm vile the next day."
