Evander Holyfield Knocked Out of Dancing Contest  6/18/05

Former boxing champ Evander Holyfield has been knocked out of the competition on a new TV dancing contest.

A week after the US debut of hit show Dancing With the Stars, Holyfield became the second competitor to be sent home after failing to impress judges with his fancy footwork.

Meanwhile, model Rachel Hunter and her partner rose from being in the bottom to clinching Wednesday night's (16JUN05) top score of 26 out of 30.

Holyfield says, "I had a great time, a lot of exposure so I think it worked for everybody."

The show, a spin-off from British series Strictly Come Dancing, also features former New Kids on the Block star Joey McIntyre.
