Orlando Bloom Ditches Hollywood For Buddhism  6/19/05

British actor Orlando Bloom is taking time out of Hollywood to develop his interest in Buddhism. The 28-year-old started to explore his spiritual side for his recent lead role in Kingdom of Heaven, which chronicled the battles between Muslims and Christians during the religious crusades. 

And The Lord of the Rings star has since been attending meditation sessions in London's Portland Place with his elder sister Samanth. A Buddhist source says, "Orlando arrived with Samantha who attends regularly. "After an hour meditation, he took part in a question an answer session and then told organizers he would be back soon."
