Elizabeth Hurley's Wedding Plans Delayed Again  6/22/05

Elizabeth Hurley's plans to wed fiancé Arun Nayar next year (06) have been scuppered once again - Nayar's estranged wife is further complicating her divorce from the millionaire businessman.

The bitter divorce of Nayar and Italian Valentina Pedroni has been dragging on for years, but it looked like it might finally have been settled earlier this month (JUN05) when Nayar agreed to a massive $1.17 million payout.

But now 35-year-old Pedroni has found another obstacle to delay the split - because Nayar is a British citizen and the couple had an Indian wedding, they "now need to decide which country's jurisdiction works in the most balanced way", she tells website Page Six.

The news will come as a massive blow to the 40-year-old British model, who has already begun lavish preparations for a Hindu-inspired ceremony.

A close friend of Hurley says, "Liz has her mind made up that she wants an Indian princess-style wedding. She loves the colourful traditions of the country and wants to embrace them. She is keen to involve elephants at some point, and it will be a spectacular affair with no expense spared to show the world how much she loves Arun.'

Hurley recently enrolled soccer star David Beckham's wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, to be a bridesmaid.
