Tom Cruise Hopes Nicole Kidman Can Make His Wedding to Katie Holmes  6/27/05

Tom Cruise wants his ex-wife Nicole Kidman to attend his wedding to Katie Holmes - so they can show their children that they remain on good terms.

The 42-year-old star proposed to 26-year-old Holmes earlier this month (JUN05), seven weeks after they met, and is keen for his bride-to-be and his ex-wife to get along.

Kidman has previously spoken of her happiness for the couple.

An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "He wants her to be there to show the world they are on good terms, he also told her it would mean so much to their kids.

"Tom hasn't set a date but he hinted it will be by the end of the year (05)."

Cruise and Kidman, who have two adopted kids, divorced in 2001.
