Alicia Keys Dreams of Gladys Knight Duet 6/29/05

Alicia Keys is so desperate to work with her heroine Gladys Knight, she held her to a promise live at the BET Awards last night (28JUN05).

The R&B sensation was among those paying tribute to Knight at the awards show, where the Midnight Train to Georgia singer was honored with the 2005 BET Lifetime Achievement Award.

Keys said, "I can't wait for the day we get to work together. I hope that day comes very soon."

The two singers are in negotiations to perform together for Keys' next studio album.
