Hollywood star Tom Cruise has confessed he loves sex in an interview with a German magazine.

Cruise, who is engaged to actress Katie Holmes following a whirlwind romance, said he found sex "great" but "confusing" when not in a relationship.

The War of the Worlds star told Bild, "I love to work. I love nature. I can learn everything. Life is a miracle bag.

"The exterior is only one covering. I believe in rebirth. I do not have a fear of life or death."

Cruise also confirmed he plans to have children with Holmes, adding, "Our chemistry has clicked."
