Mariah Carey is desperate to recruit top designer Karl Lagerfeld to create a glitzy wardrobe for her forthcoming Adventures of Mimi tour.

The chart-topping beauty adores the flamboyant fashionista, and has plans to collaborate with him on a number of projects.

She tells PageSix, "I hope Karl Lagerfeld can design the outfits. He is very funny. And so smart.
