Survivor Vanuatu Winner Suspended for Lying About Medical Issues  6/6/06

A former winner of US reality TV hit Survivor has been suspended from his job amid claims he took unauthorized leave of absence to appear on a European promotional tour.

On Friday (02JUN06) Chris Daughtery was suspended for 20 days without pay from his job at the Ohio transportation department after investigators reported he used a medical excuse to leave work for a month last year (06).

Daugherty officially requested leave to go on the trip but was denied the vacation because he had used all but 29 hours of his allocated 2005 holiday.

Daugherty won $1 million in 2004 on Survivor: Vanuatu - Islands of Fire.
