Gene Simmons Stunned by Fake Wedding  6/6/06

Kiss guitarist Gene Simmons was stunned when his longtime love, Shannen Tweed, planned a surprise wedding for them - until he realized it was an elaborate joke.

The prank was set up for Simmons' new reality series on US network A&E, Family Jewels, chronicling his family and their crazy life.

His 17-year-old son Nick, helped Tweed plan and pull off the surprise faux wedding, complete with a rented rabbi.

A shocked and terrified Simmons was caught on camera and then told it was all a joke.

He recalls, "My God, it was the scariest moment of my life!"
