Eminem Settles Ringtone Battle  6/7/06

Rap superstar Eminem has settled a lawsuit against a company he claims profited from his songs as mobile phone ringtones.

Two publishing companies representing the star, Eight Mile Style and Martin Affiliated, filed suit last October (05) in a bid to stop five firms from selling Eminem ringtones on the net.

A deal was settled with one of the companies, Colorado-based Cellus US.

The company has agreed to stop distributing the ringtones, Cellus lawyer Mary Margaret O'Donnell says.

It's not known if a settlement was paid.

Eminem's lawyer Howard Hertz says, "We reached an amicable agreement."
