JK Rowling to Receive Honorary Degree  6/23/06

Harry Potter creator JK Rowling is to receive an honorary degree from Aberdeen University in Scotland to mark her generous funding of multiple sclerosis research.

The British writer's mother Anne died of the disease in 1990 aged 45.

Kind-hearted Rowling has given money to Aberdeen University to research the disease.
