"ACCESS HOLLYWOOD" BREAKS NEWS: STAR JONES REYNOLDS TO ANNOUNCE HER DEPARTURE FROM "THE VIEW" THIS WEEK

BURBANK, Calif. - June 26, 2006- Star Jones Reynolds to announce her departure from "The View" this week.

A source close to "The View" tells "Access Hollywood" today that Star Jones Reynolds will leave "The View" in July and will announce the departure on the show this week. As a result, the much discussed face-off between Jones and incoming co-host Rosie O'Donnell will never occur, as O'Donnell will not join the show until September.

In July, Jones Reynolds' will have been at "The View" for almost nine years as she has been a part of the show since its inception in August 1997.

Barbara Walters, creator of "The View" and Jones Reynolds' fellow co-host, did not return calls for comment.
