Woody Allen Overwhelmed by Scarlett Johansson's Sexuality  6/27/06

Veteran film-maker Woody Allen is intimidated by Scarlett Johansson because she is so "sexually overwhelming".

The famous funnyman claims he finds it impossible to concentrate when he is around the stunning 21-year-old.

He explains, "It's very hard to be extra witty around a sexually overwhelming, beautiful young woman who is wittier than you are. Anytime I say anything amusing, Scarlett tops me."

Johansson describes the banter between the pair as an updated version of Billy Wilder and Marilyn Monroe's routine, in which Allen plays a cranky old wise-cracking man with Johansson able to give as good as she get. She adds, "It's our shtick".

The pair hit it off on the set of Allen's film Match Point, where they teased each other endlessly.

Johansson claims she was shocked to find that Allen is "actually very sweet and thoughtful and romantic, in his own strange way".
