Brad Pitt's Identity Used for Forgery and Embezzlement  7/1/06

A man is on trial in Dubai for stealing Brad Pitt's identity in an attempt to embezzle money from a financial institution in the United Arab Emirates.

The Jordanian salesman allegedly forged a fake ID using the Troy actor's picture and tried to steal over $22,000 from an exchange house where his brother worked.

The 29-year-old denied knowing who Brad Pitt was and told police he just downloaded the photo from the internet.
