American Idol-winner Taylor Hicks is to be reunited with his first crush after a desperate magazine appeal.

The talent show protégé begged American magazine People to hunt down a mystery blonde woman he briefly exchanged glances with on a recent airline flight.

Although the search has yet to bear fruit, Hicks also mentioned he'd like to meet his junior school crush, whose four-year age advantage sparked his lifelong lust for mature women.

The object of his affection has since contacted the magazine and reveals she'd love to meet up with Hicks.

Christy Lee Worsham, 32, says, "He was such a fun kid.

"I'm married. But I'd like to reconnect. He was like a brother to me."
