Rocker Avril Lavigne is so ambitious she is prepared to lie to get what she wants.

The Sk8er Boi star has no qualms with pushing her luck in order to have things go her way.

Speaking to US magazine Blender, she says, "I'm very motivated and very driven. I'm the kind of person who doesn't take no for an answer.

"I was just at this hotel in London. And I call down to order Malibu bay breezes for me and my friend at three in the morning. They're like, 'We don't have that.' I hang up and call again, hoping to get a different guy.

"I'm like, 'Hi, I'd like to order a drink - Malibu bay breezes.' They're like, 'We don't have that.' I'm like, 'Yes, you do. It's Malibu rum, cranberry juice...'

"And then I lied to him. I go, 'I had one already at the bar tonight. You have the stuff.' I hung up."
