Piers Morgan: "I'm More Famous Than the Beckhams"  6/6/07

British star Piers Morgan relishes in being the 'perfect celebrity' and believes he is now more famous than high-profile couple David and Victoria Beckham.

The America's Got Talent judge and former journalist insists he is now so popular with the U.S. public, he often experiences 'mild hysteria' in the street.

He says, "I do tend to posh it up a bit in the States. They see me as a James Bond character. I might even start using my full, double barreled name, which is actually Piers Pughe-Morgan. I rather like being recognized. In fact I am the perfect celebrity.

"I don't mind being harassed or groped. People literally scream at me in the streets. It's mild hysteria. They shout 'Oh My God, it's Piers'.

"Curiously in Hollywood I'm a lot more famous than the Beckhams."
