Kate Beckinsale was terrified about sending her daughter to school in America, because she feared kids there would have guns.

The English actress confesses she jumped to the conclusion US schooling would be dangerous for her eight year old daughter Lily - and she was pleasantly surprised.

She says, "I was concerned about my daughter Lily going to an American school because I'm a neurotic mess and I believe that all children are packing a gun in high schools, which is scary. But that's ridiculous."
