JIMMY KIMMEL IS HOST OF "SET FOR LIFE," ON THE ABC TELEVISION
NETWORK
New Primetime Game Show Where Contestants Press Their Luck to Win
a Monthly Paycheck for One Month, One Year, Twenty Years...Or Even the
Rest of Their Lives! Popular ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel ("Jimmy
Kimmel Live") will host "Set for Life," a seven-episode
high stakes game premiering FRIDAY, JULY 20 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the
ABC Television Network.
In "Set for Life," contestants have the chance to win a
monthly paycheck for one month, three years, twenty years - up to forty
years, possibly enough to leave them set for life! Contestants will battle
for the highest monthly check possible... The maximum that a contestant
can win is close to four million dollars paid as a monthly stipend over 40
years! This show does not require skill. There are no questions to answer.
It's all about knowing when to stop, and about bringing along a trusted
"guardian angel" advisor who will ensure you go home a winner.
In addition to his work on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Kimmel
co-created and executive-produced the hit MTV series "The Andy
Milonakis Show" and the hit Comedy Central show "Crank Yankers,"
which later segued to MTV2. Kimmel co-hosted Comedy Central's "The
Man Show," served for four seasons as on-air prognosticator for
"Fox NFL Sunday," and co-hosted Comedy Central's long-running
and popular game show, "Win Ben Stein's Money," for which he
received two Emmy nominations and one win for Best Game Show Host in 1999.
Kimmel has also hosted the "American Music Awards" on three
separate occasions and serves as a creative consultant to Adam Carolla's
syndicated morning radio show. Later this summer, Kimmel is set to co-host
the ESPYs with LeBron James.
"Set for Life" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of
Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA. The
series is executive-produced by Scott St. John.
