Louis Walsh to Rejoin The X Factor?  6/22/07

Irish pop mogul Louis Walsh has reportedly been rehired by Simon Cowell as a judge on British TV talent show The X Factor.

The Westlife manager vowed he would never work with the American Idol judge again after he was fired by the bosses of the hit ITV program in March (07).

However, British newspapers today (22Jun07) claim Cowell and Walsh met at this week's horse races at Ascot, Berkshire, and renewed their friendship.

A source says, "It wasn't until Simon returned from filming American Idol that he realised how popular Louis was. When Louis turned up on Simon's This Is Your Life they buried the hatchet.

"Simon told him, 'We've made a mistake, we need you back on the show.' But by that time they'd hired Dannii Minogue and Brian Friedman."

The new series of The X Factor starts in August (07).
