LOT”
Waters (“Mean Girls,” “Freaky Friday”) to Appear Tuesday, June
26 And Roth (“Hostel,” “Hostel Part II”) to Appear Tuesday, July
3, on FOX
“Mean Girls” director Mark Waters and “Hostel Part II” director
Eli Roth will serve as the next two guest judges alongside regulars Carrie
Fisher and Garry Marshall on FOX’s moviemaking competition series ON THE
LOT. Waters will guest on the Tuesday, June 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT
tape-delayed) episode, which will spotlight six comedy short films; and
Roth will guest on the Tuesday, July 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT
tape-delayed) episode, which will spotlight six horror-themed films.
On June 26, the 13 remaining director finalists will be narrowed to 12
and then spilt into two groups of six. The first group of six finalists
will each present an original comedy short film to be critiqued by the
judges and opened to viewer voting. The following week, July 3, one of the
contestants will be told “It’s a wrap” and will be eliminated from
the competition, and the second group of six director finalists will each
present an original horror-themed short film to be critiqued by the judges
and opened to viewer voting.
ON THE LOT is produced by Mark Burnett Productions, DreamWorks
Television and Amblin Television. Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg are
creators and executive producers. David Goffin serves as executive
producer with Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Conrad Riggs co-executive
producers.
