Paris Hilton Spends First Day of Freedom With Family  6/27/07

Socialite Paris Hilton spent her first day of freedom surrounded by family and well-wishers after she was released from jail on Tuesday (26Jun07).

The 26-year-old served 23 days of a 45-day sentence after being found guilty of violating her probation from a drink-driving arrest last year (06).

After being released at 12.15am local time from Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California, Hilton went straight to her family's Bel Air mansion.

Throughout Tuesday, Hilton was sent gifts including pink balloons and a frosted cake emblazoned with the words, `Welcome Home'.

Her aunt Kyle Richards says, "She's very happy to be home - very, very happy.

I think she's just excited to be at home and be with her family."
