Singer Sam Sparro Blasts 'Vulgar' Madonna 6/3/08

Music newcomer Sam Sparro has lashed out at superstar Madonna - branding the Queen of Pop "vulgar".

Australian singer Sparro hit out at the 4 Minutes star after she beat his debut single Black & Gold to the top of the U.K. charts with her Justin Timberlake collaboration in April (08) - insisting at 49, she is too old to carry on performing sexy dance routines.

He tells Britain's Attitude magazine, "Madonna is wretched at the moment - absolutely vulgar. Put it away. You're not young and sexy any more." And Sparro is disappointed the pop legend has snubbed the conservative music she favored in the late 1990s.

He adds, "(She was) thoughtful and mature for a while and now she's chucked it away in a desperate attempt at being hot again. It's a bit vile."
