Peter Wentz Denies Twins Rumors He Started 6/12/08

Rocker Pete Wentz has dismissed reports he and new wife Ashlee Simpson are the latest star couple expecting twins, insisting he referred to his unborn baby as "them" by accident.

The newlywed Fall Out Boy rocker sent gossips into a spin on Thursday (12Jun08) when he appeared on Phoenix, Arizona radio show John Jay & Rich and chatted about his baby news.

He told the DJs about a scrapbook he and Simpson had been keeping for "them" - leaving listeners convinced his new bride is expecting two babies.

Wentz has since contacted pal and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton to clear up the mess. He says, "That was way wrong. I meant to say 'the baby' and said 'them' because it was 7am.

"I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally misspoke because we don't know if it's a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely and I totally blew it on this one."
