Pete Wentz Wants To Raise Baby In Chicago 6/19/08

Rocker Pete Wentz wants to raise his unborn child in his native Chicago, Illinois - because he believes it is a better place to grow up in than California.

The Fall Out Boy star and his new wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz are expecting their first child together later this year (08). And Wentz has been preparing for parenthood by taking tips from his own father.

He tells People.com, "I've been reading books and watching my dad." But he admits he would prefer to move from their current base in Los Angeles to Chicago in time for the baby's birth.

He adds, "I think I would rather raise a family here than L.A.; you go to your own coffee shop, you go to the dog park, its smaller and I appreciate it."
