Will Smith has hinted he really is a student of the Church of Scientology, after revealing he entrusts his fate to "patterns of the universe".

The actor has always denied following the controversial faith, which was founded by science-fiction author L. Ron Hubbard, despite best pal Tom Cruise being a prominent member.

He recently described himself as a "student of all religions" claiming, "I don't necessarily believe in organized religion. I love my God, my higher power, but it is mine and mine alone." But, during an appearance on American breakfast program

The Today Show on Monday (23Jun08), Smith confessed he looks to the heavens when plotting his future.

 He says, "Choreographed is a rough word. I study the patterns of the universe. I watch how things happen, because they happen the same way over and over again. "Definitely plot it out in advance. But I would say, as far as hitting the mark for exactly where I'm aiming, that's kind of rare. There's a flow of the universe that I've grown to know just how to go with it."
