John Mayer Blasts Photographers For Selling 'Mundane' Photos 6/25/08

John Mayer is begging the paparazzi to stop snapping him performing "mundane" tasks, because he fears he'll become more famous as a celebrity than a singer.

Since the star hooked up with new flame Jennifer Aniston, the couple has become regular tabloid fodder, with photographers following their every move. But Mayer fears the attention is damaging his reputation.

He laments, "I don't have a problem with my privacy as much as I have a problem with people messing with my message. "If you're going to take pictures of me doing mundane stuff, will you at least take pictures of me playing guitar?

Because, right now, it looks like all I do is drink coffee and do dry cleaning and go eat dinner."
