Ben Affleck Signs Up Project Greenlight Loser  3/23/05

Ben Affleck has proven to be a wily businessman after picking up the rights to a movie idea that failed to make it on his reality TV show Project Greenlight.

Wannabe screenwriters were invited to pitch their ideas to Affleck and his pal Matt Damon for the last season of the movie talent show, and when one of Affleck's first choices was turned down by his partners, he decided to go after it on his own.

Now the actor is in negotiations with Rick Carr, who impressed him with his script Does Anybody Here Remember When Hans Gubenstein Invented Time Travel?

Affleck has reportedly teamed up with production company Neo Art & Logic to make the low-budget movie.
