Nelly Postpones Shows to Mourn Dead Sister  3/25/05

Rapper Nelly has scrapped a string of concerts so he can properly mourn the passing of his sister, who died yesterday (24MAR05) after a long battle with leukemia.

Jacqueline Donahue, 31, had been diagnosed with the disease in March 2001.

The cancer was in remission for nearly two years before she suffered a relapse.

Nelly scrapped last night's (24MAR05) show in Beaumont, Texas, and another three dates as promoters wait to hear if he'll cancel his entire tour with Fat Joe.

In a brief statement from the rapper's label, Universal, bosses say:

"Information on the status of upcoming tour dates will be forthcoming."
